New iPad Pro will lose headphone jack, but will get FACE ID

Almost two years ago, Apple came with the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus, the first devices from Apple that had no headphone jack. This trend continued with the iPhone 8 and X. The former continued the previous style, the iPhone X had a larger screen, which replaced the fingerprint scanner with face recognition.

The latest rumors, coming from the Japanese macotakara, now report that Apple is planning similar steps for its next iPad Pro. First of all, the tablet would be a bit smaller: the 10.5 inch model would measure 24.8 x 17.9 x 0.6 cm, the 12.9 inch model 28.0 x 21.5 x 0.64 cm. This is smaller than the current versions, which measure 25.1 x 17.4 x 0.6 cm and 30.6 x 22.1 x 0.7 cm respectively.

In addition, the company from Cupertino would leave out the headphone jack just like its iPhones. Also, no lightning-to-3.5mm dongle or Airpods would be included. The new iPads would feature Face ID, but this allegedly only works in portrait mode.
