Say goodbye to your iPhone 3.5mm Headphone jack

Apple said goodbye to the beloved 3.5mm headphone jack with the iPhone 7. To compensate for this loss, you get a dongle with the purchase of this smartphone, so that you can still connect a headphone via the Lightning connection.

However, the question is whether Apple will once again offer such a dongle with the new iPhones. According to Barclays, this is not the case. In a note it appears that Cirrus Logic, a supplier of the dongle, has confirmed that the accessory is not included with the new iPhones.

If Apple actually do this, the question is how consumers will react to this. Many iPhone owners are still hooked on wired music caps. It is an expensive joke to buy dongles through the Apple store for a ridiculous amount. We’ll know more in a month, because the new iPhones are almost coming.
